For over 30 years. Heidi Duckler Dance has been at the forefront of “site specific” performance. From laundromats to abandoned warehouses, this internationally acclaimed group, transforms audiences' perceptions of non-theatrical spaces, making the space their own. It was only natural that our brand identity centered on the idea of “tagging.” Their logo is a sticker to be applied to existing artwork, images, found materials, walls, windows - whatever they want to appropriate. There is no “corporate color palette”, only imagery and materials that are found, existing, thrown out or repurposed. Old clothing, purchased at thrift stores and silkscreened with their logo, become the perfect brand expression. Our recommendation was, whenever possible, to not show images of dancers, but to show empty spaces, only tagged with their logo.
